Kurmaguda Academy for Relief and Education

I’ve not posted on my WordPress Blog for nearly six months now, life has a funny habit of throwing lots at you at once. During that time, I have sold any cameras and lenses that I owned and lost my interest in my photography. By a stroke of good fortune, I had to make a trip back to the city of Hyderabad this month. Having no camera at all, and very short of money, I bought a used 6/7  year old Fujifilm X100 for £370. Really, what I didn’t know was that this used and older Fujifilm camera and an unplanned trip, would bring me back to the photography that I love. Now that I’m back, Im looking forward to catching up with my friends from around the world.

  1. Hello and welcome back, friend.
Great to hear you are getting a second wind on photography… I’m still waiting for mine. Hope the wind stays strong this time. Cheers!

  2. Please continue Peter. You have such a talent. Love this photo for several reasons. We are all very proud of you.

  3. Wonderful images in the black/white set I’ve seen. I’m so glad you were still in Hyderabad when I returned home to Banjara Hills. Waheed was sorry to miss your visit, but when I visit KARE with my laptop I’ll show him the set. My 2 lovely students, Radha and Tejasri, were inspired by the images and we’re now thinking how we can turn that into an exhibition and mount it locally. I;m sure Nandita Sen will help find some funds to get them mounted.

  4. And what a wonderful welcome shot back! Does us all good to get off the merry-go-round and take a break but sometimes I wonder what it is we’re taking the break from when, once upon a time, before social media, we shot for ourselves in our own time and shared within such limited sets. Great to see you back Peter with your hands full and your eyes well and truly open!
