Moonlight

“The true joy of a moonlit night is something we no longer understand. Only the men of old, when there were no lights, could understand the true joy of a moonlit night.” ― Yasunari Kawabata, Palm-of-the-Hand Stories

  1. I love it too, with the silhouetted tree in the corner. I love night time & especially when Moon and the stars are out. Sometimes I think Moon is under-appreciated/gets overlooked by people.

    1. Thanks I’m glad you like this picture! I love night time too especially dusk when the the horizon is a lighter shade of blue to the much darker sky above it! The moon is definitely under appreciated!! You are right :)

    1. I really appreciate your comment particularly as I was a little hesitant about the picture initially. Many thanks!

    1. Thanks Leanne, sorry late to reply to you I just got back from India! Glad you like the picture! :)

    1. Teju I’m really grateful for your comment on this picture! This was taken at some woodland very close to where I live. There are many very beautiful trees there that I love and its my favourite place to go when I need to be on my own. They look lovely against the sky and I saw this again in my last post entitled ‘freedom’, this time with the sun shining!
      Thanks again :)

    1. Hi there, please accept my sincere apologies for not having replied to you sooner. I was actually just checking through all my posts to see that I’d replied to every comment and found this mistake!
I appreciate your having taken the time to comment on this picture and I’m glad that you like it :) Many thanks!

    1. Arjun you are right, the moon definitely still has a huge fan base..I’m sure as long as it rises and sets in our sky it always will :) I try to pause often and contemplate at length….my wife thinks I should work more and pause less!! :)

    1. Thanks Uday glad you like this. Its a country park pretty near to where I live; there are about 1500 acres of woodland and lakes.
It’s also next to a major film studios and its been used for the Harry Potter films, James Bond etc and at the moment there are films crews and sets in there for a new film production called Cinderella.
Particularly beautiful in the winter when there is heavy snow!
